The FastenMaster HeadLok is a redesigned flat head panel fastener engineered for a wide range of heavy duty wood construction applications. It works great for structural insulated panel construction, prefabricated wall panel connections, nail board attachment, stress skin/Timber frame connections and two, three, and four ply beam connections. These threaded fasteners are designed to be safer, faster, and easier to use than most traditional fasteners. HeadLok is rapidly gaining popularity amongst companies as the ultimate fastener because of its ease of use and its ability to pull and hold logs into position. Some of the fastener benefits include a sharp gimlet point for fast installation into wood and OSB, three point styles available for fast installation into wood, corrugated steel and structural steel substrates, an aggressive 2” thread for holding power and withdrawal strength, a chamfer under the head for increased strength, and an extra large wafer head eliminates need for additional washers and offers dramatically increased pull-through resistance strength. The FastenMaster Spider Drive System is a patent pending drive system that was developed for the HeadLok. The eight-lobed design offers the highest level of positive bit engagement and drivability allowing you to drive these screws in with your arm extended with no cam-out. All FastenMaster HeadLoks are installed using a high torque low rpm ½” corded, 18 volt cordless drill or impact drill. Each underside of the washer head is brought flat to the surface, not to be overdriven. With HeadLok, no pre-drilling is required when meeting minimum end/edge distances. HeadLok is ACQ Tested and Approved.
