P2000 uses Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) which, in and of itself, has earned it's growing reputation of being more than "foam board", more than being used for flotation and more than even used "just" for packaging. It is an insulator that offers structural properties to materials like insulation boards, blocks and barriers. EPS is not new. In fact it has been around since the 1950's and has frequently been used in various construction components for it's ability to actually insulate. In recent years the use of EPS has grown tremendously and P-2000 Insulation has readily recognized it's potential. Just think of how a foam cup insulates hot or cold drinks from our hands!
